Over 120 years of providing space for social, recreational, and educational activities

What we do

Welcome to Gotherington Village Hall!   The orignal Reading Room was founded in 1905 and we have been providing a space for community activities for over 120 years.  We're located in the heart of Gotherington, next to the Freeman Field and playpark.  On this site you can find out about activities that are going on at the hall, as well as finding out about how to hire the hall for yourself!

GOTHERINGTON VILLAGE HALL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE (GVHMC)

Charity No. 274869

Gotherington Village Hall is run by the Trustees of the charity and relies on volunteers to ensure that the hall is fit for purpose and can be enjoyed by everyone.

The Management Committee is made up of Elected Members and Representative Members.

Meetings are held every 2 months and the next meeting is on Wednesday 7th January 2026 and all start at 7pm

Gotherington Village Hall cannot operate without a committed group of people, so we are asking for volunteers.

The more Committee Members there are, the lighter the load on each one and the hall will run smoothly for everyone's use.

Prices to hire the Hall have been increased from September 1st 2025 to £10.00 for residents and £15.00 for non residents

and business users. These rates are per hour and include all available facilities.

Thank you.

Howard Samuels

On behalf of Gotherington Village Hall Management Committee.
